Pooped BUT Happy!

Man, staying up for the Olympics has been kickin' my hiney! And then to top it off... we still have our day jobs of entertaining the little man.

This weekend was SO MUCH FUN but super duper busy!

Saturday morning, we arose at seven-oh-early-thirty to take a bike trek with some friends from S.F. We joined them on part of the Mickelson Trails around the Rochford area. We had: four moms, three dads, four 6-year olds, and three 4-year olds. And all of us biked 17 miles in the most beautiful serene area while enjoying a creek running along side of us in sunny 60-degree weather smack dab in the heart of God's Country! It was so much fun! The kids did great but boy did they ever work hard! (Forgot my camera - long story - blonde moment - not happy!)

After that, we made it just in time to see this little sweetie celebrate his first birthday party (he actually turns one tomorrow). And guess what? He just started walking! You know the kind where they are SO wobbly and straddle their legs just to keep their balance! SO CUTE! Anyway, it was so much fun too! Good food... good friends! We are blessed!

(My friend and her mom make cakes and they are ALWAYS this CUTE!)

Then on Sunday we hit the waterslides with some more friends and again had lots of fun.

Today, we hit the pool for over 5 hours! FIVE! Nathan did all of the work swimming while I relaxed but needless to say, I think EVERYTHING is catching up to us! We're all beat. I can't even begin to think about the Olympics tonight. I NEED SLEEP!

All in all... we have been livin' it up this summer and I'm glad to say that I think we've checked nearly everything off of our "want to do" summer list! Yahoo!

And now my friends, g'night!

I love your new layout btw!

Sounds like you guys had fun! We are getting Willard a new bike next week, since the one he has is getting too small. Maynard will inherit Willard's and by next year we will all have new bikes...pretty exciting!

Sounds like the water slides are fun...we have yet to take the boys there this year. We did go to Gulches of Fun this weekend. I didn't know they had bumper boats, and that we would all be drenched!

How are you doing with him going to school full time this year?
