Shop 'Til You Drop

Day 7:

Shopping.

We went back to the outlets because we didn't hit them all AND most importantly, we knew where they were and wouldn't get lost.

This time I went across the street to Kirkland's Home, Ross, Marshall’s, and a few other stores.

I found great deals all over! I bought both of these at Kirkland's for $20 each (the candle holders were a set of two for that price):
By the way, why is it that when I take photos of the inside of our house that the walls look so darn light and kind of white? They aren't!!!!!

The clock is big (maybe 2 1/2 feet around). I was scared about getting it home but knew that if worse came to worse, Scott would carry it for me as a carry-on. But instead, I bought a new piece of luggage for it to fit in. Ok, I know what you're thinking... then it wasn't such a good deal BUT we were going to buy another piece anyway. So there.

Anyway, once out of its box, I set it in the luggage kind of slanted with clothes under one side and top on the other side - trying to protect it. Scott wasn't real happy about carrying it through the airport even though it's super light. I couldn't blame him... I didn't want to carry it either. And if I carried it, he would need to roll around my bright pink carry-on piece of luggage through the airport. Which just wasn't going to happen either.

The entire trip home I worried and wondered about my clock... Hoping that it would make it in one piece, unharmed, and without dents. And luckily it did! Yeah!

Ok, back to the last day of our trip. It was fun. Relaxing. The boys went to the Nike outlet where Scott spoiled the peanut with new shoes (even though we just bought him Heely's that he does NOT where) and some shirts. They had fun too. It's not very often that Daddy gets to (or wants to) take the boy shopping.

This was also the day that Nathan learned to tie his (new) shoes. We had been extremely lame on teaching him this life necessity. And his Sketchers that he wanted for the school year were velcro so we didn't worry about it much. But on this day, in California, he learned how to tie his shoes - in a matter of minutes I might add.

That evening we decided to head back to Coronado. We even went back to the same pizza joint (it was soooo good) and ate supper.

We loved Coronado and Scott promised that him and I would go sometime and stay at the 115 year old Hotel Del Coronado. And believe me, I'm holding him to it!
