For those of you that listen to the weather around here, you might have known that it was going to snow today. I DON'T listen to the news OR read the paper. SO when I woke up I was totally surprised to see a beautiful winter wonderland just beyond our door! The trees were covered and big flakes were slowly making their way down to earth. MY FAVORITE!
I LOVE Sunday's like this. The only thing missing was 1) spring, 2) cuddling in, and 3) nothing to do but lay around.
I HAD to begin the work on the basement. I HAD TO. My official deadline was this past Friday. And, that was like the 10th deadline I've given myself.
I sent Scott and Nathan to do errands. I love it when they do my errands (it rarely -- actually I'm not sure that it has ever happened). It was so nice. I made my list and away they went.
When they got home - I was still plugging away on the basement so they played outside. After what seemed like hours, they called me out there to see their snow fort.
And then, I saw Nathan's snowman that he made all by himself. WAY COOL! I don't think I could make one that good if I tried! It is SO awesome!
Anyway, I came in, got the camera and explained that I needed to continue on the basement. THEN, I snuck out through the back, made a few snowballs, and went to surprise them. BUT I actually got nailed by a snowball from Nathan before I even knew what happened. He was hiding in his snow fort and obviously saw me before I saw him. And that started THE snowball fight of 2008. It was fun! UNTIL Scott tackled the only girl and put snow up her shirt. No fair. Ok, it kinda felt good - seriously - I was sooo hot in my coat! Nathan thought that was hilarious!
And now... back to the basement!
Are we there yet?
