We both have the same interests and shop so well together. We spent 3 1/2-4 hours in this amazing JoAnn Fabric store on Friday evening. It was sooooo fun! This store was so HUGE and AMAZING with such an enormous selection! On Saturday, while she was finalizing paperwork for the new van, I sat in my car...listened to a book on CD and cleaned out all of my receipts and coupons. It was so nice to just sit in peace without any interruptions - apparently I was in bigger need of that than I ever knew! After that...our first stop: Archivers! And, I don't even need to admit how many hours we were there before heading for a late lunch and then more shopping. On Sunday, we split up (she had relatives to visit) and I headed to Loveland to break up the trip a little. I had such an amazingly peaceful day. I shopped some more - got some Christmas presents - and just enjoyed a day to myself! I even enjoyed the relaxing ride home listening to my book on CD! It was one of my most favorite weekends ever! Thanks so much for asking me to go!
I've gotta share some of my favorite purchases and super good deals!
Anyway, since I shopped a little too long on Sunday...I ended up driving in the dark which made me a little nervous with all of the deer that are out at this time of the year...I'm sooooo very thankful to say that we both made it home safely. I didn't see hardly any deer or antelope in WY like I thought I would. It was when I was nearing Custer (yes, I missed the Hot Springs turn - go figure - right Celeste?!!!!) that I saw so many deer on the sides of the road and on occasion had to slow down so they could cross the highway. However, the most exciting part of the trip came right outside of Hill City where I slammed on my breaks to let a full grown MOUNTAIN LION pounce across the road! I about peed my pants! It was the MOST amazing site ever! I know they are here in the Hills but the chances of EVER seeing one are very rare! I felt so honored to witness this rarity! A little piece of me even felt like I was on an African Safari! :o) I will never forget it! EVER!
Oh, and a little report on my boys' weekend. They went deer hunting in Montrose and brought home 2 deer that I refuse to look at in MY garage. But the most exciting part of the weekend for them was seeing the deer that my dad shot. (I wish Scott would've had the digital camera to take pictures.) He shot a 28-point buck! It's a non-typicall GIGANTIOUS buck that was making news everywhere he went. What a weekend to remember for him as well! He's not so sure he didn't make the state record for this deer! Way to go daddy-o!
