What happened to the Rockies? For those of you that don't know, they have lost the first two games of the World Series to the Red Sox - UGH! Hopefully when they get to Denver and see all of their thousands of fans waiting, they will be revived and win a game!
Wednesday night was a killer - totally hard to watch! They got smashed 13 -1! Last night (while cleaning) I tried to watch most of the game and it was a close one - but they still lost. Darn it!
This time of year is one of my favorites. Neither Scott nor I are big on any professional sport...only the little leagues that Nathan plays in. But for some reason, every year we can't wait to watch the World Series together. For weeks before it starts I ask Scott how much longer until the games will begin. WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Since we've seen the Rockies "live", we're rooting for them. Nathan however, roots for the team that wins - so as of right now, he's a Red Sox fan. Hopefully Saturday night will change his heart and the Rockies will win!
We tried so hard to get tickets on Monday and Tuesday for the games...just to re-sell for more money...but we had absolutely no luck at all. We were trying to buy 4 - $250 tickets and Scott has since heard that some of them have gone for $16,000! That would be like winning the lottery! Holy cow! Anyway, we aren't that lucky and didn't even get a chance to try and re-sell! Oh well...there is always next year!
Come Saturday evening, GO ROCKIES!!!!!
