On Friday, Scott's mom & step-dad arrived. We had a very nice weekend visiting, eating, watching a movie, doing some work around the house, and even a tiny bit of shopping.
Saturday, the boys went to Menards to pick up some of the doors we ordered at Menards. They installed them (and boy do they look awesome!) while Sharon and I snuck over to some quilt stores, Weathered Vane Gifts, Target, and Trader's Corner. We ended the evening by playing games with Nathan before he fell asleep and then we watched the World Series. (It was a super good game and we thought the Rockies might actually come back - but we were wrong and they got sloshed by the end of the game! UGH!)
Grandma bought Nathan these pj's that he's been wanting from Target...and as you can see in the above pics, he won't take them off! He got the knight "gear" at Target too and he likes to dress up with that stuff over his pj's...he looks so darn cute!
This morning they took off for Sioux Falls and we headed out to lunch and then home for a nap. After we woke up, I went downstairs to look for something and found this placed on one of the nightstands in the spare bedroom! It totally made my day! Sharon made this...isn't it absolutely adorable?!!! First of all, it's got pink in it, 2 - it was a surprise, 3 - a super nice saying especially coming from my mother-in-law, 4 - I love the stuff she makes (she is so talented), and 5 - I will treasure it forever - and it's going in my scrap room where all my favorite treasures go! Thanks SOOOOO much Sharon!All in all...it was an extremely nice visit with Grandma and Grandpa Redenius! Thanks so much for coming you guys and for the hard work you put into our house! We love you lots!
