We carved pumpkins last night and it was soooo fun! Nathan enjoyed digging the "guts" out a lot more this year than last. He wanted Scott to carve a spider on "their" pumpkin...while I was left all alone to decide what mine was going to be. I actually wanted to just keep it "uncarved" but Nathan insisted that I do my own. After much thought...I decided on Frankenstein complete with fabric covered buttons for his neck thingy's, buttons for his eyes, scrapbook paper for his hair, and just a little bit of green glitter around the stem. I'm glad Nathan talked me into it! It was so much fun and we all enjoyed working on them together at the kitchen counter.
WORLD SERIES
Well, congratulations Red Sox...you won. Yippee... Poor Rockies...they didn't even win one game. And the saddest part is that there won't be any more games until next year. Dang it...couldn't they at least have won a couple to extend my World Series season? Oh well, life will be returning to my regularly scheduled program of "no TV"...but wait, maybe not. We just got DVR and Scott set it up so 7th Heaven will be taped for me everyday. Can you imagine? Wow, life is sooo good! :o)
SILLY SUPPER
Since Q-Doba is so filling...we decided to have a silly supper night. Nathan loves these and begs for them way too often. I rarely give in...but I think he's right, we do need to do them more often. Nathan and I both had cereal for supper - MMMMMmmm!
DOCTOR
Will be calling the doc today to see when I need to go in to get my cist re-evaluated...Don't worry, I'll keep ya posted. Wish me luck. I did find out that if it's still there then I have to go on the birth control pill - which delays any possibility of a new family member even longer.
CRITTER
Yep, it's official...we have at least one mouse in the garage. And do you know how we figured that out? I was searching for a pair of shoes and noticed tons of mouse poop in MY snow boots! GROSS! And, we all have shoes out there...but they just had to poop in mine! Why does it always happen to the person who hates that kind of stuff the most? Next, my luck will move to a mouse in the house while Scott is away or a mouse in a trap while Scott is away. Did I really agree to live in the forest where this kind of thing happens? Hmmmm....maybe should have re-thought that! :o)
TODAY
Nathan has school and we work at the Y tonight. I have errands to run but don't know if I'll do them or not...could paint the unfinished part of the basement - but that would require a major energy spurt!
