Summer Fun!

Now that our routine is returning to normal, we are enjoying everything that Rapid has to offer. As you read previously, we hit Old Mac's Farm this week, and then on Wednesday night, we had supper/picnic at Sioux Park. Yesterday we picked up a friend and enjoyed Story Book Island for the entire afternoon. We love summer activities around here! I think today we'll be resorting to the pool - it's going to be a hot one!



It's funny how you take so much for granted as an adult but when you have a child it makes you appreciate the learning process for absolutely everything we already know. And then it amazes me even more at how quickly children learn everything! For instance, Nathan asked me how to blow bubbles (with gum). I showed him and immediately he started blowing his own bubbles! At the park on Wednesday night, we were playing in the creek after our picnic and we decided to show Nathan how to "skip" rocks in the water. It was so much fun and it was such a small thing! Man, I love being a mom and teacher! Their little minds are so amazing to me!
