Who's Hungry?

This is Basil...my sister's totally adorable pooch! We had so much fun seeing the "cousins" play till they dropped this weekend. We had a great time and ate absolutely wonderful food that Chef Jackie made for us each day. The drive was not much worse than driving to Sioux Falls. I listened to books on CD's, Nathan watched movies, and the dogs fought over who was sitting on my lap. Seriously, it was way worse than 2 kids! Toby didn't want to share. When it was his turn, he wanted it all to himself. Jasper didn't mind sharing as long as he was on my lap. He didn't even care if Toby laid right on him. When Toby wanted it all to himself, Jasper would sit on the passenger seat looking at me with his huge puppy eyes and whine until I would finally give in and let him come over.

We took Nathan to the Children's Museum on Saturday. It was so much fun. It's more like a science/exploration center. Honestly, there was nothing "museum" about it. Anyway, Nathan's favorite part was the tool area where they could use real saws and other real tools to make stuff. He made a wooden house. Jackie and I nearly had a hundred heart attacks when he used the saw but he did come out of there with all 10 fingers!



We took the pups to Jackie's favorite pet store and it was so fun. The pups roamed about while we looked at unique treats and accessories. The pups won out and got some great stuff!

The weather wasn't as nice as we had hoped but we still enjoyed their beautifully landscaped backyard. We needed a little bit of that Florida sunshine - it was chilly!!!! My pups loved having a fenced yard to freely do whatever they pleased. (We need a fence too - with the wood floors.)

We did a little shopping too - of course! We bought a few gifts for some upcoming events and Nathan talked Aunt Jackie and Uncle Nick into a few toys from the Disney Store. My most exciting purchase was from a grocery store where I bought 4 sets of the cutest colored flour sack towels I've ever seen. I can't wait to do something totally fun with them. I'll post a picture when I do (of course). Oh, and I bought my Mother's Day present which is a super duper cool ring from Chico's! I can't wait until I can officially give it to myself and wear it! :o) Don't worry, Scott usually appreciates it when I do this so he doesn't have to! :o) I did ask Nathan if he wanted to give it to me for Mother's Day and he actually said yes! Also got some cool scrapbooking stuff from Archiver's but WHY? I don't ever get a chance to scrap anyway! I wish there was more time in each day!

My house is a disaster as usual after a weekend away...better get to it! I wish I had a magic wand so I could take a nap!!!!! Oh well, at least I can listen to the rest of a book while I work!
