Let's Play Ball!

Wow, this week has been super busy ~ yet again. I wanted to write this right away Monday night as my excitement was overflowing; however, this is the first chance I've had to tell you about Nathan's first T-ball practice. What a night!

It was SO much fun! I was beaming from ear-to-ear taking pictures the entire time while every other mom sat quite a distance away from the players. I was the geeky "first time my kid has been at t-ball" mom right outside of the action! I was so close that I had to move a couple of times so the ball wouldn't hit me! The kids were so cute. I loved to see and hear what they thought they should do or say to the coach. Nathan was so eager to be good and to listen to the coaches. It was a memorable night that marked the beginning of his "sports career." The coaches were great!!!!! Despite his long hair, Coach Skid was a positive role model and taught the kids some very important rules, such as: never tell someone they did a bad job, always be encouraging when someone makes a mistake by telling them they did a good job for trying, play together as a team, help each other out, hustle, keep your eye on the ball, and try not to keep asking the coaches when you get a chance to bat because everyone will eventually get a chance, etc! As I was standing there, I was so thankful for the opportunity and blessing to be a mom. I truly love this job and know that it's what I'm here on earth to do. Thank you so much Scott for allowing me this opportunity to stay home with our son! And if faith would have it, can we please have another one or two or three? :o)

Anyway, our entire family is counting down the minutes (72 to be exact) until the next practice tonight! Go Brewers - especially number 9! Oh and tonight, I'll try and stay out of the way!!!!
