We're almost half way through this pregnancy! Wow! That sounds so cool! I hope the second half goes as fast as the first. (Oh, how I pray we make it through the entire second half!)
I'm feeling the baby move more and more every single day. That is the BEST feeling in the world! Since the baby is the size of a green pepper, I sometimes have to lay real still and concentrate to feel those movements - or sometimes it takes me totally by surprise if I'm standing still and feel little thump-thump-thumps!
Here are some Nathan-Baby-Funnies this past week that I can't resist sharing:
Nathan witnessed me putting a pair of maternity pants on with the full panel up my tummy. He was not impressed and horrified that I was actually going to wear them out in public. I think he was somewhat relieved when I told him that my shirt would cover up that "embarrassing" area.
Nathan is quite humored by my change in breast size. (We all are - ha!) No, I don't dress/undress in front of him but it's still impossible not to take notice. (I'm ready for a breast reduction!) So when he saw my new "bigger than life" bra sitting on my chair in my room, he couldn't help but call to his buddy, "Cole, You gotta come see these ostrich eggs" all the while swinging my bra around above his head! I died. I quickly told him that was not to be shared and he quickly decided to stick it under the bed before "Cole" could come in and see it. Ha!
The best funny came on Saturday night. Scott was gone so Nathan took full advantage to sleep in our bed. We were cuddled in watching TV when I felt the baby really start to move. I put Nathan's hand on my tummy so he could feel it but he couldn't. So, I told him to put his ear on my tummy to see if he could hear the movement. As soon as he put his head on my tummy, WHAM, the baby kicked him! We both busted out laughing. Then Nathan said, "Now we know it's a girl. She already hates boys!" Isn't that the cutest?!
As much as this pregnancy has kicked my old self, I'm really enjoying Nathan's reaction to it all! And it sure is fun and more real when that little peanut moves around!
