Honored

Do you ever feel like God's presence is being shown to you in super clear ways?

Well, I do. And I love that feeling. In fact, it makes me feel warm and cozy and extremely honored that it is my turn to relish in some every day "miracles" that were meant just for me.

For instance,

I prayed and prayed that God would give me energy to complete all my tasks for the craft show. I prayed that he would keep me up late and get me up early. He answered those prayers!

I prayed that my sewing machine would make it through to the end of my craft show. It did. It died two weeks later... peace be with you sewing machine. You were my first true love! Anyway... if it would have happened while I was preparing for the craft show, I think it would have been just enough to set me over the edge.

The other day... before my sewing machine went to Heaven, I broke a needle on my machine and it flew up and missed my eye by a crumb. Seriously. I felt it on my eyelashes. I'm so thankful to have my eyes! I must admit that I wore sunglasses the next time I tried sewing on the same heavy fabric!

We were probably an inch a way by being hit by a drunk driver on our way home from Denver. He would have been hit on the passenger side AND Nathan's side. Thank you dear God that we were spared!

When we were coming home from Thanksgiving, we were about 5 miles from home and I was driving.... I was looking at some new billboards (for a split second) and when I turned my eyes back to the road, there was a car right in front of me. This car was probably going 5 miles an hour and I was going 70. I swerved. Luckily nothing was in the passing lane and we all thanked God that no one was hurt or hit.

Backing up... we (I) decided that we needed to decorate for Christmas BEFORE Thanksgiving (everything but the tree). On the day I picked, God made it snow. It was my favorite!

Now that the tree is up too... here are some sneak peaks of the Gordostyle Christmas decor:The birds are my newest ornament addition to the tree.

The bucket (inspired by my sister's outside tree buckets) is my all time favorite addition to the tree! No more ugly tree stand!
This is my favorite cutie (in his pj's) in front of the fattest tree we've ever had!

My MIL made the pillow on the right! Isn't it to die for?! Love it!
