LOTS To Celebrate! (And I mean LOTS!)

I'm bursting with excitement so much that I can barely sit down long enough to type this. (I kid you not! I might have A.D.D. Seriously.)

First and foremost...

I'm officially RETIRED!

Oh yeah... doin' the HAPPY dance!

I can't really express my gratitude for this opportunity, but I'll try with some of these current feelings that I'm bursting with:

Peaceful

Ecstatic

Content

Joyous

Thankful

Grateful

Lucky

Warm and fuzzy

Happiness beyond measure

Ahhhh.... just to name a few. I feel like I'm "me" again. I feel this is where I'm meant to be, now, more than ever! I have my son back... I feel like we've reconnected. We had such a fun day yesterday doing pretty much nothing. We laughed a LOT. He cuddled. He was back to being a "mama's boy" -- even it was just for the day -- I needed it! For this opportunity, I will forever be grateful!

And on Saturday, the hubs and I celebrated ELEVEN big ones. Even though he was at a fishing tournament and I worked my very.last.day... we celebrated a little on Thursday and a little last night. Call it guilt for being in a fishing tourney, but the hubs bought me this:

Oh.yes.he.did. And do you know how well he knows me (since we've been together almost TWENTY years if you throw in the dating years)? He KNEW that I would not accept a gift with that price tag... so he unwrapped the shrink wrap and charged it up so I couldn't return it! I stared at him for a good five minutes after it was given to me and told him that we'd have to return it someway, somehow UNTIL I saw all the meaning behind it. This is what he wanted to give me. So, finally, I accepted it and began to enjoy it! (It's is so stinkin' cool!) Thanks Hun... You rock! And cheers to our future years! (Don't forget the bigger diamond at #15. Ha!)

And to top off all of this, Scott WON the fishing tourney! I kid you not! Him and his buddy were the top fishermen! They walked away with $600 smackaroos! Wahoo!!!!!

Nathan's last day of school was on Friday (more on that in another post). That means we started summer! Yeah! And today we head to our camping destination for most of the summer with our super TERRIFIC friends! And... the sun is shining!

Sunday my little sister turned 27! She is the pride and joy of sisterhood! She's sweet, smart, creative, happy, loud, adorable, and my very own best friend! I love you Jackie Lynn!

LIFE IS GOOD!

Oh yeah... one more thing... the house is almost clean! (That's nothing short of a small miracle!) Meg, can you come back over now that it's clean? Can you erase the memory of what you saw when you were here and pretend that I live like it looks today? Pllleeeaaaassssee!
