Good Deal Gone WRONG!

*** Written last week *** But never posted***

So... I've been cleaning, cooking, doing laundry, etc.  Basically trying to catch up.  I've also been watching my cousins' girls which makes for an even busier schedule (don't get me wrong... I LOVE having them - just makes life busier).  Anywho, I had to run a few small errands yesterday... and that always makes me think that I might as well run to a few places I love, while out and about.  And I usually hate it when I do that because it messes up my schedule of stuff that I need to get done at home on that particular day.  Follow?  In a nut shell, I can't just go do the stuff I NEED to do without doing a few things I WANT to do.  Sometimes my car is at fault.  It just has a mind of its own... and drives me places that are completely out of the way. Like the Goodwill for instance... it totally took off in that direction yesterday even though I had (still have) a million things to do at home.

BUT look what I found:

This old mirror for 5 bucks.  Can you just see it with an old know or door knob attached to it? Loooove itt!  I could even pop out the mirror -- and just use the frame.  I love the simplicity of the frame!

And this picnic basket?  2 bucks.  In PERFECT condition... PERFECT for Nathan's room in our camper... PERFECT to hold some of his treasures in there or maybe even his books.  Perfect for some cute fabric to line the inside of it.  My favorite, PERFECT, purchase of the day!

Then there was this plate.  25 cents.  Oh how I have plans for this beauty.

And then there was this:
One of my favorite childhood books (that we already own for Nathan).  But look closer.  This one is in spanish too.  Nathan is in spanish.  PERFECT!

Yahoo!  Good job car for taking me there when you KNEW good things awaited me.

BUT then... I took Nathan to BB practice last night and came home to find this:

No, the dogs aren't to blame.  Scott is.  He tripped over my perfect lil' picnic basket.  RRRRgh! (Honey, you just got new glasses... couldn't you have seen this?)

I guess that's what I get for not gettin' my chores done yesterday.

Darn it.

(I wish I could say, "That'll teach me".  But I know better.)
