Current Cuteness!

This morning the boys headed out to take in some ice fishing. About 20 minutes after they left, they returned home because they forgot the ice auger. Nathan was sitting next to me and said, "Man. I can't wait to get my hands on some fishy's!" I think he's a little young to be this excited to fish... but he IS his father's son!

A few weeks ago, he was hunting with his daddy, uncle, and both grandpa's. He was sitting in the pickup, doing what hunters do when they're sitting in the pickup waiting for some of the guys to get back in, and he saw a field that was full of pheasants. He turned to his grandpa and said, "That field is thicker than hen's teeth." (Where on earth did that come from?) Grandpa Larry?!

We were opening presents with Scott's mom and Nathan did something (I don't remember what it was) and whatever it was went wrong. He said, "Son of a nutcracker!" Ok... being the Christmas LOVER that I am... that is my ALL time favorite quote!

As we were in our SERIOUSLY SILLY (nightly) sword fight, Nathan stops and says, "Time out. Mom, remember how good the ice cream cones were at Hart Ranch?" Right in the middle of this sword fight! And in the middle of winter, might I add... but, MMMMmmmmm, Yes, I do remember how good they were and I wish we could have one right now! :o)

At the young age of EIGHT, he sill cracks us up with the cutest words, like:

"Bullfold" instead of billfold.

Icicles are called "Icebergs."

"Construction" instead of instructions.

"Bolleyball" vs. volleyball.

And the word ridiculous... is only cute when you hear him say it. Cracks me up every single time!

I love how kids' minds work!
