Apparently he found a "sticker" patch in our lil' bit of the forest this morning while out doing his morning "duty."
He had so many stickers that I could NOT possibly pull them all off. (And, please note, that I DID try.) So I woke up the hubby and asked him to get the puppy clippers out and ready so we could shave Toby's tummy.
We got out the clippers and shaved away. Toby was NOT impressed. He wiggled and jiggled and wined and crabbed. And when he was released, he ran straight under the bed where he could safely hide.
Now usually, if I have time in the mornings, I drink my one cup of jo and BOTH the pups fight for lap space as I read all my favorite blogs. This morning, after the shaving, I had ZERO pups.
They were BOTH hiding under the bed for fear that there would be some more shaving going on.
Finally after several minutes, Toby came out... and went directly to the couch AWAY from me. As we speak, he STILL has his back to me. He's so not cuddling with me this morning!
Then a little while later Jasper peeked out from under the bed, wondering if it was safe or if he was next... and came flying onto my lap -- and he's still enjoying all the lap space to himself because it may be awhile before Toby is "talking" to me again.
Toby - Would you rather have your hair all caught up in stickers or have a shaved tummy? No one will notice, I promise. And... it wasn't MY fault that you fought the sticker patch and the sticker patch won!

The other day, Nathan was "swimming" in his bath tub and I caught some good pics of Jasper watching as Nathan practiced holding his breath. (That kid can hold his breath for 55 seconds! That is probably three times as long as his mother can!)
Jasper LOVES to be in on the action when Nathan is in the tub. But he really doesn't like to be IN as in IN the tub. He hates baths with his whole heart. I think he just likes to watch someone else enjoy the misery of baths!

I love how he wears his goggles in the tub!! My kids are always trying to hold their breath but 55 seconds - we haven't even come close. Job well done little man.

My parents had a dog---Buffy. They took in a stray on day. That night..she peed in-not near or on-IN his slipper. hehehehe!
I remember holding my breath in the tub as a child too, but I never had googles! How fun!
I was reading this, horrified, thinking Toby was your husband? or child? and you shaved his tummy?? WHAT?? ... and then I realized you were talking about a dog!! I'm so relieved. :) ha!
