Twilight Birthday

My cousins daughter turned 14 this year.  (She's the tall cutie pie on the right.) Her, her sister, and her mommy are the only family we have out here in the forest.  And although, time gets away from us, we try to see them as often as possible.  Secretly, I'm pretty sure Nathan has adopted them as his big sisters.  They even act like siblings.

Anyway, Hailey LOVES the Twilight series even more than I do.  I'll never forget the night that she texted me at about 9:00 on a Saturday.  We were just leaving a friends house and were heading home.  But her and her mom were just getting to the movies to see Twilight.  She wanted to know if I could come meet them.  It started in five minutes.  Scott whipped the car around and cruised me over there where they had a ticket waiting for me and the previews were still going. Anyway, the three of us loved the movie and I loved that she even thought about asking me to go!

So for her birthday, it just had to be Twilight EVERYthing.  Her grandma bought her the DVD, so I had to get creative.  Where does a person go when they want something creative?  Etsy of course.  I ordered these two things from Etsy:

Necklace (I added ribbon as the "chain."):

Cell Phone Charm:
And then I bought a plain white hoodie from Target (Mossimo brand).  And then added these iron on's from Michael's.  (Hailey is a total jock -- so the varsity font was very fitting for her!) For those of you non-Twilight fans, EC stands for Edward Cullen -- the HOT, ROMANTIC babe (main character).

Front:

Back:

I bought the Twilight movie book and made her this bookmark.  (The back was really cute apple scrapbooking paper -- forgot to take a picture of that part!)

It was one of the funnest gifts I've ever given!

Happy Birthday SWEET girl!

How cute! You're so creative!! She's going to LOVE those!
I have to ask...I didn't get into the whole Twilight craze, but my 9yr. old daughter was really upset with me b/c I wouldn't let her see the movie & most of her friends got to. What do you think about a 9yr old seeing it?

Thanks for getting back to me about the Twilight thing. I pretty much had already decided she couldn't see it, but I just thought I'd ask. I seem to be one of the few parents that didn't allow their kid to watch it, but I told my daughter there's a reason they put ratings on movies.

Wow!! Girl you were VERY creative!

Fabulous gifts!

You are a fantastic Auntie!

I am thrilled she thought of you. Aunts become more than close friends the older we get. They are the ones we can turn to when momma is just too close to the situation...
She is a lucky girl.

You are very creative! I'm sure your niece loves her aunt.

She is tall like my babies. I love tall and lanky. I hated it when I was her age though. ;0)

Thanks for the comment. The Lord is good and He's in control.
