Mystery Soap

On Wednesday, Scott hollered to me that there was no soap in the shower.

There has to be.  We just put a new bar in there.

Since he's a male and can be quite blind when looking for things, I peeked in the shower and... couldn't find it either.

Hmmm.   That's weird.

As we began discussing where it could possibly be, our best guess was that maybe a dog ate it.

Scott asked me to check Nathan's bathroom to see if maybe he borrowed it for his shower.

I peeked in Nathan's bathroom (Nathan was already at school).  NO soap in there either.

None.

Oh no... what if one of the dogs is addicted to soap?

So I went to the linen closet to get him a new bar of soap and there, on a shelf, were BOTH bars of "used" soap.

WHAT THE HECK?!

I drilled Scott to see if he really knew what was going on.  But he didn't.

We were so confused.

The only possibility that we could think of now was that Nathan did this in his sleep.  He has been known to sleep walk every once in awhile.

So when I got to the school that day, you can only imagine how quickly the "mystery soap" question flew out of my mouth.

And with a super BIG grin, Nathan said, "April Fool's."

I couldn't believe it!  How did he even remember that it was April 1st when we had a 4-day break from school?!  He said that he had seen the idea on TV and remembered to put his plan into action that morning before school.

Well I'll be darned!  That was the cutest April Fooled I've ever been!

Cute! I woke my son up on April 1st and told him it was a snow day. He popped up all excited and then I said, "April Fool's!" He cried. Oops. Bad mommy moment #3,256!

LOL I'm such a mean mom! I hear that "commercial" when the kids were watching TV the other day and told them that that would NOT be funny and DO NOT do that lol.
