I cried. (Have you ever listened to the words of "There Goes My Life" by Kenny Chesney? That's me!!!! Sniff - Sniff!)
The teacher was shocked. She explained that should only happen in kindergarten.
Excuse me?
Obviously she wasn't a stay-at-home-mom with only one child who now has to suddenly let go for FIVE FULL days every week. I forgave her when I found out she has FOUR dogs (and two kids). She's crazier than us!
Scott was embarrassed when she was done with her "speech" and asked for any questions... and I was the only one that asked if we could meet the kiddos for lunch. Nathan will be next on the embarrassed list, I'm sure. Especially when I'm there like every day. What? I can be if I want.
Anyway... almost all of Nathan's buddies are in his class! He was really excited about that. Let's just hope he works as hard as he plays!
After the students got to come in and find their desk... he just sat in it. He would NOT move. He is SOOOOOO ready for school! (Wish I were!)
By the way... have I ever mentioned that I'm not above bribery? Look at Nathan's outfit.
Now... can we please rewind summer and do it all over again like 304 times?
No?
Ok... I'll just start counting down the days until Christmas break instead!

Oh girl, you know I am SO with you on this!! Hang tough, it will get somewhat easier, but I'm seriously mourning the passing of summer too and I have a year under my belt. First meeting of the Moms of 1st Graders Support Group next week!! :)
Well, after school starts, you can come play with the babies at the Steering team meeting! LOL...
I know you'll make it!
I don't even know how I made my way over here but I'm glad I did! Life with one boy is such fun, ours is almost 2, I see it only gets better! Good luck with the whole going to school full time thing! I'm sure you'll still be plenty busy. He's adorable and I love his outfit!
you have to tell me again how you bribed him to wear the cute outfit... Thor HATES anything with a colar... and definately cannot walk with flip flops on... not sure if its a boy-thing ??? or??
