My cute sister sent me this book in honor of Mother's Day.
Boy I mentioned one small thing to her about me going green and did she ever take the jump on it! Just kidding Jackie - I can't wait to be greener like you! You're great inspiration! And, this book is a great start for me... just what I needed!!!!My mom brought me some Mother's Day presents when they were here for my surgery. Since she is the Fashion Queen she picked out some of the cutest darn shirts I have ever seen! I was so excited when I felt good enough to wear real clothes and go somewhere after days of lying in bed. And I was even more excited to wear these super cute shirts on my first outing!
I told Scott not to get me anything for Mom's Day. I told him I "splurged" and ordered some scrap booking supplies online, while I was bored out of my mind lying in bed after my surgery. I needed justification for my purchase so I decided to turn it into my Mother's Day present instead. He was fine with that and so was I UNTIL I saw this lamp.
Um, yeah, hello, come to mama! I SO love it! It's sitting on this buffet in my dining room (see blog entry in August about this good deal buffet!):
Since I am a girl of justification... and a girl that has the prerogative to change my mind... I decided the scrap stuff would be my "flowers" from the family for my surgery and this lamp would be my mom's day present. Happy Mom's Day to me! I'm so glad justification comes so easy. :o)I know you all know this but I'm gonna say it anyway... I love being a mom with all my heart. It is a true blessing and definitely a gift from above! Thank God for children... especially mine!
