This is the day that we crashed, burned, and took the day off to relax. We cancelled our already purchased ticket plans to Universal Studios for a much needed day of relaxation, no waiting in lines, swimming at the hotel pool (this is the day I realized one of our sweet pups chewed through my swim suit), and exploring southern California.
We headed to La Jolla. This is a super cute little town (city?). I would have loved to explore the shops but we spent all day at the beach and when we were ready to eat, we noticed that all the cute stores were closed for the day. However, we enjoyed our relaxing and exploring kind of a day enjoying God's beauty!
Anyway, we explored... actually Scott and Nathan explored. They found crabs of all kinds, fish, pelicans, and seals. This was so fun for Nathan because he got to climb as well as be in the water. I stood by with camera in hand taking pictures like a mad woman!

I had to wear it the very next day after I bought it. Isn't it cute?!After we ate supper, we headed a nice outlet mall where Nathan and Scott made out like bandits. Scott bought a new work suit and Nathan got all sorts of goodies. As for me -- not much. It was more fun to spoil Nathan. Don't worry... I got to do more shopping on the last day of our vacation. :o) Whuufta!
