Resolutions...

really aren't my thing. Ok. I failed already. Gol dang it! I had a coke yesterday, ate snacks, only brushed my teeth twice instead of three times. UGH! However, I did paint the 3rd level landing - and might I add, it makes a HUGE difference! You see I had to paint it before I would even dare get an estimate for remodeling that level.... that’s how bad it was - how do people live like that? These people were nasty I swear... Anyway, back to the resolutions.... I'm thinking that the painting counts as heading towards remodeling completion. Oh and Scott called a plumber to start on the bathroom. AND I did drink a few glasses of water yesterday. Anyway, I totally decided that I'm going to have one coke a day instead of one coffee...but I'm drinking coffee as we speak! Lord, PLEASE give me self-control!

BBBS
That stands for Big Brothers Big Sisters. I started volunteering there right before the school year ended before Christmas. I had my second meeting yesterday with my little 3rd grader who is OH-SO-SWEET! I'd love to just take him home and give him some true lovin'. He seems so sad and withdrawn. I think Christmas was really hard for him. That is just beyond my thinking capabilities to think that there are children out there that get sad when Christmas rolls around. That's just not right. Anyway, my heart goes out to that family BIG TIME! We had a good meeting. He read to me and we chatted and joked and then time was up until next week. I'm really looking forward to this adventure.

PICS
What is wrong with me? I haven't been posting pics! I hate that...but I really don't have much to post. Maybe I'll hang some stuff on the walls in the landing and then take pics. OR, I could take pics of all the good deals I got on New Years Day - oh but some of them are gifts...however not all. Man, I love sales. I'll try and get my mind to think of something for the next post. Oh, I just thought of something - it's from Pottery Barn Kids. I want the owl for the scrap room. I can't help it. It's just simply adorable! And, I would like to add an addition of a back entry way onto our house (and scoot the garage over) to house this piece - perfect for the future huntin' doggy!Have a good one!

Love the little knit toys...I thought maybe you made them. That storage unit is the best thing I've seen yet. Hmmmm....wonder if I have room for something like that?
