Sneak Peak

Ahhhh, the carpet is in! Fresh, clean, NEW...I love it. I keep running downstairs to take another peek. I keep thinking about what this basement looked like before and it just doesn't seem like it could be the same room! Scott is gone until Wednesday night, so we will have to wait to move furniture down until then. I feel sorry for him that he can't see it right away, especially with all of the work he has put into it down there! Anyway, there is still work to be done. We (Scott) needs to finish the trim once the doors come in, put up crown molding, get the electricity hooked up to the electrical panel, hang light fixtures, etc...but we're ALMOST there! Do you know what this means? Scrap Land could be UP & RUNNING by this weekend!!!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!!!

Here is the ceiling - pine (tongue and grooved planks) painted white to fit my "cottage-y" needs! This is my favorite part of the whole room. (Until my scrap room is done anyway!)

Here is the fireplace we had installed. They accidentally put brass instead of chrome on it, so I decided to post black and white until that's fixed.

For fun, I added two of these lights over by the play area. Aren't they super cute?! Love them!!!!

Now, let's finish the basement and move on to phase 2 (of many)...
