and they were gone! My parents came for a super quick 24-hour visit this weekend...but despite the short amount of time, we still fit alot in and had a super good time! We went to Nathan's soccer game Saturday afternoon and Nathan played a spectacular game scoring 2 of the 3 goals for his team! He also concentrated on the game and was a pretty good "team" player. We were very proud of him! It was a whoppin' 95 degrees out - check out Zoe in the "shade!"

After the game, we headed to our house for just a bit before going to the hotel to swim. (Our house isn't up to sleeping guests at this time!) Grandpa Terry was Nathan's hero for the evening because he was the only one that got in the pool with him. It was good for them - JUST the TWO of them. Nathan loved every minute. The rest of us sat on the sidelines, watched them, and chatted.

Sunday was an answered dream of Nathan's this summer. He has been dying to go to Pirates Cove mini golf. I kept telling him that we would wait for Grandma and Grandpa to go with us sometime. It was so much fun! Our entire family loves mini golf! Grandma and Nathan were the only ones to hit a hole in one, Scott actually won the game, and I was the BIG loser! We decided to blame it on the camera that I had strapped around me! :o)

After golf, we ate lunch and headed to Armadillo's for desert. (That was Granny's favorite part of the whole weekend - ha!) The only thing wrong with the weekend was that Jackie, Nick, and Basil weren't here to share it with us. However, we were thinking of them as we saw this on a jeep that was parked at Armadillo's:

It's just a matter of time before Nick lives out MY dream and gets a jeep for himself!
All in all, it was a great glimpse of my wonderful parents. When they are here, we just can't have enough fun with them! They are truly the BEST! I know we are so blessed by having such an awesome family...and I am truly honored that they are MY parents!
