Still Unpacking!

Well, we thoroughly enjoyed a walk to Nathan's new school last night. It only took us a matter of minutes, although we had a very good workout because of the big hills. Anyway, we played in the playground while the pups ran wild. Then we sat under a tree and attempted to practice tying shoes. Nathan did very well but his attention span was super short. Anyway, I love living in town. I can't believe what a difference it makes!

Nathan started VBS yesterday and LOVED it! I have to say that I was so impressed by the organization, decorations, time, and effort that everyone put into the program! Today we're riding our bikes there. (Nathan reminded me of that as soon as he woke up.) He's very excited to be able to do that. And, might I add again, it will only take a matter of minutes!

The pups are adjusting well. Toby is (and always has been) afraid of wood floors so he sticks to the carpeted areas. Jasper doesn't even act like anything changed. He's sitting here with me chewing a bone. I think he's just happy that I actually sat down today! --Ok, maybe it's me that's happy about that! Nathan is adjusting well too. He misses his friends terribly but was excited to see a squirrel and a woodpecker as he was exploring yesterday.

Got the microwave installed yesterday and it looks super good! One thing down, a million and one to go! I tried getting someone to come in to paint, finish the basement, remodel the 3rd level, and install wood floors but he's booked until fall! UGH! He's the only one that I've seen anal enough to please me! So, either we wait it out or take a chance on someone else. He's good enough, that in my mind I think I could wait but I'll probably regret saying that in a few weeks when this stuff is really driving me nuts!

Saturday was a hard evening. I was over tired anyway but also sad to leave so many memories (some sad and many good) that we've made in our old home. We said good-bye to Bailey (our pup buried in the backyard) and that set me over the edge! With that came severe homesickness for my parents. (I always miss them, but this was extreme.) Anyway, they are coming on Thursday to help out...I can't wait! Thanks mom and dad!

I suppose, I better hit the shower...a very busy day ahead!

One more thing: Sharon came out to help us this weekend and was a HUGE help with everything! Sharon, Thank you for ALL that you did!!!! We totally appreciate it! It was so nice of you to come - and nice to have you here! We enjoyed spending time with you!
