So...apparently there ARE bad people in this world.
And they DON'T like Christmas.
Yesterday morning, I went to take the Peanut to school and noticed that all the stuff from my glove compartment (in my car) was sitting on my front seat.
I NEVER use my glove compartment.
NEVER.
Because my memory is VERY low on capacity, I racked my brain wondering if I had really opened my glove compartment or if someone truly had been in my car. I decided NOT to tell Scott because I just knew that he would think it was ME.
(It usually IS my failing mind/memory.)
However, about an hour after he had left for work, he called me and told me that our neighbor stopped him and warned him that his pickup was "attempted" to be stolen the day after Thanksgiving. The police thought that the robber was unable to drive a stick shift and that's why it was left running in the middle of the night. (His daughter had heard it start up - it's a diesel - and when they got out there the person(s) were gone.)
That being said, I told Scott what I thought happened to our vehicle - which by the way - is locked 99.9% of the time. And SHOULD have been in the garage with BOTH of our vehicles BUT Sam (the dog I so dearly love) owns the garage and isn't trained NOT to jump on and scratch the vehicles, so we, in below zero temps continue to park OUTside of the garage.
Am I venting? Oh.. sorry, where was I?
Anyway... luckily I had just brought in a butt load of Christmas/Birthday presents from the car that very night... and only had a couple of small returns sitting in the car. Luckily nothing was taken.
Or so I thought.
But as I lay in bed last night, it hit me that ALL my Christmas Cd's were in the car. Were they still there? Because it was 1AM when I thought of this, I was too chicken to go check my car. When I took the peanut to school this morning, I went on the hunt for my CD case, which by my luck, was GONE!
Gone with the wind!
You all know I love Christmas with my whole entire heart. I love Christmas music maybe even a little more.
These were discs that I've bought over a period 15 years! Ones that aren't replaceable! Ones that sometimes stores carry just for that year -- like Target and Starbucks Cd's.
As lucky and thankful I know I am that more wasn't taken... I'm ticked.
WHY do people like this exist?
Thankfully, I do have SOME of these discs on my computer... but not all.
This morning we called the cops and were informed that there have been a TON of robberies on this side of town.
Nice.
So, Mr. Grinch or Ebeneser Scrooge - YOU'VE got a LOT to learn about Christmas and LIFE! And may you learn all about it behind bars, in a jail cell, over Christmas! Ba Hum Bug to you sir! (I'm sticking my tongue out at you right now!)

Scotty boy has a new job... to hunt down every pawn shop in this city to find my beloved Christmas collection!

So sorry. I have CDs like that, too. One of my favorites is from Goodys about three years ago. I did upload them all to my computer last year so they are there if I need them. Hope your husband finds them for you.
This is pretty much the saddest news ever! You love Christmas music more than anyone I've EVER met. You're the only one that I know that starts listening to in OCTOBER!! I hate stupid people. :( Maybe they were just die-hard Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton fans, too. :)
That Sucks!
