Thank YOU all for your support! Whether it has ben via phone, e-mails, or comments on this blog, I've cherished all of your kind words and support!!!! I'm sending hugs to all of you!!!!
And, I've had four days off from work... I feel like a NEW woman! The house is picked up (not clean) and the laundry is done! Still a lot more I should have done but I splurged with a day for me yesterday and went to all my favorite spots. A little guilt may have set in this morning when I opened our empty fridge... but it will pass as soon as I go to work. Sorry family... supper is whatever you can find tonight! :o)

Here's a little bit about the new second grader:
* He's lost five teeth so far. Only two permanent ones have taken up residence.
* He is not a huge breakfast person (gets that from me - darn it!).
* He loves chocolate (um, also from me!).
* He hates to read (dad, I'm blaming you for this one!)
* He is a messy person (dad - you again!).
* He has quit calling me mommy this year. I HATE that!
* He is STILL picky about clothing and shoes... including underwear and socks.
* He still wants to be a cop (and has for years). But he has added being a "photographer of animals all over the world" to his list. Cool.
* He is a social butterfly. He LOVES to be with his friends. LOVES.
* Rarely smooches on his mother even when I constantly say that mom's NEED LOTS OF SMOOCHES ALL DAY LONG.
* Won't hold my hand (can't this wait until he's 18?).
* Recently quit using his "gween blankie" unless he gets hurt or is having some sort of melt down.
* His favorite school subjects are math and gym. Although, I think he forgot to say, RECESS.
* Cheese pizza is his favorite food - even the school's pizza ranks among his favorite!
* His favorite TV show is Zach & Cody. (I even like that one!)
* He is VERY determined.
* He doesn't like to practice at anything but loves to be good at everything.
* His 2ND grade teacher is tied with his kindergarten teacher as his favorite teacher! (Now that's a good start to the new year!)
* Doesn't share well when friends are over. (It drives his mother bonkers!)
* Still loves to swim more than anything else.
* Is one of the tallest in his class.
* Stalls more than anyone I know before bed time.
* Totally whoops me at any game on the Wii.
* Loves anything boyish that his dad loves.
Gotta love him! And boy do I!!!!!!!

Nothing like a good day off to rejuvinate you!!
Glad you are perking up and sad to hear about the lack of smooching
:( I feel your pain.
We rented Earth from the REDBOX last night - you will have to get it for your future photojournalist :)
They just grow up too fast. Glad things are going a little better now.
His toothless grin is so cute! Sounds like he's growing up. Trevor does a few of those things but he still likes to snuggle with me a bit.
