We ARE business owners.

FREAKIN' WEIRD!

FREAKIN' SCARY AS ALL GET OUT!

Long story short:

Scott got laid off in December. (December 2ND to be exact.)

He had 2 job offers right away and both FELL threw on bizarre circumstances. BOTH.

It was a major roller coaster ride.

He decided to get out of the pharmaceutical field and take a new avenue... Insurance.

After many interviews, he was hired and was asked to take over a book of business on July 1st.

That would be TODAY.

We are business owners as of TODAY.

Did I mention that this is FREAKIN' BIZARRE and SCARY?

So he studied for days, nights, and EVERYTHING in between and got his insurance licenses.

Then he went out of state to train for eight weeks. EIGHT.

And on his days at home, he was training in the office that he would be taking over. (That guy is retiring after 31 years.)

He had to hire a new office person because the one that was in there was the old agents wife and was also retiring after 31 years. (Good for them... and hopefully good for us.) And then I was TOLD that I would probably need to work in there too. And that my friends, is another story for another day.

The point is... WE ARE BUSINESS OWNERS.

His name is on the door. It's for real. Seriously for real. His name is ON the door.

God help us all.

(Speaking of God... that would be part of the story that goes along with me working and giving up my 'stay-at-home-mom' status... again, another story for a different day.)

((I can't STOP thinking about decorating the office. Yet another story for yet another day.))
