Let's review, shall we?
Then I moved it to a part of our family room.
We added some old vintage doors to "contain" my area a bit better. Those doors... they were the BEST part! They looked so cute! They were only a buck at an auction. The people that bought that house wanted the doors to stay... and I let them... 'cuz I still have two more. :o)Anywho, When we moved into this house a year and a half ago, we finished the basement ourselves and I made another little nook for my scrap area (off the family room).
Then we started working on the third level of this house and I decided that I really NEEDed to use one of the two spare bedrooms to contain all of my stuff better. So it began.... and began... and began... taking F.O.R.E.V.E.R. We gutted it: stripped down the walls (they did a VERY poor job when they finished this level), new sheetrock, new tape & texture, new woodwork, new light fixture, removed the ledges, new flooring, new doors (that aren't in yet), new paint, and new electrical work (still waiting for all of the new outlets to be officially "on"). This is the BEFORE (this picture is actually the bedroom next to it -- they looked the exact same only my scrap room is much smaller -- forgot to take a picture of the scrap room in the before stages -- darn it.):
Nice curtains, huh? Yuck-o!Do you remember the post a LONG time ago when I bought this door and these legs?
Old door + Old legs = Cute desk (in NEW scrap room):
And the new puppy bed sits proudly underneath Mr. Cute Desk.
Remember the armoire in this picture?:
Scott added some legs to it and I painted it. I LOVE it!

And here are the other parts of the room complete with a whole bunch of things I love:

These fit perfectly in the tiny closet:
All in all... I spent $5 on the curtains. $15 on the little bench on top of the desk. $.50 for the little lamp shade on the wall light. I had everything else!
Old door + Old legs = Cute desk (in NEW scrap room):The walls are painted pink (quite obviously) STRIPES. They are all the same color but they are striped with flat verses glossy paint. It created just the right touch... But it's impossible to photograph it! (Too bad the rest of the house isn't done or you could come see it in person. HA!)
And here are the other parts of the room complete with a whole bunch of things I love:
Now... what do I plan to do when I outgrow this space?
Why, take over the kitchen of course. I don't like to cook anyway. :o)

Great job! I love everything in this room, especially the little touches - the decorations above the dog bed for one. And I love the makeovers of the "desk" and the armoire.

Very Cute! I have a tenth the talent as you honey! I could see the difference in the paint in one of the pictures! Very neat idea!
I FINALLY got all my stuff into a cabinet. Everything except my sewing machine and fabric. But, everything else fits, and anything I can fit in there, I can buy!
One day I want to put a new wall in our room so we can have a walk in closet. Then I will be able to have more room for a nice little table to do my creative stuff on!
Oh.My.Word. Seriously! I love your room! The door as a table thing - I have been thinking and trying to find a way to do that same thing for the past 5 years. My husband thinks I'm insane, but maybe if I show him your pictures, he'll see I'm not the only one. I love everything about your room. It's crammed with awesomeness. :) So glad I found your blog today!
AWESOME room! i love it!!!
