Despite our shock over the news on Wednesday...
December is STILL my favorite month.
And what a great time in our lives to be surrounded by family and friends (and Christmas tree lights, and Christmas programs, fireplaces, snow, hot cocoa, etc.)!
So...
We got the tree decorated last weekend.
Barely.
After the branches were lit...
They went OUT.
And I had to run to Target to get new lights.
(Dang it... twist my arm... Target.)
Anyway... it's done!

And it brings me such a sense of joy, peace, and happiness when I sit in front of it. (The word at the top of the tree says FAITH.)
I decided to group the ornaments in pairs. Not in any particular kind of order... just two ornaments together.

Then I took SOME ornaments down to add glitter and bling before putting them back up. (Notice the one on the left - glitter and bling.)

And here are the branches that Scott had to cut off to make the tree just right... why should the extra branches go to waste?!

Here are a few more things I've added (while shopping last weekend on our trip home):

I had to get this snowflake plate because it follows our Christmas Word theme going on around here. (Look close on the inner circle - full of Christmas words. Cool.)

(I had to get the plate above because of the puppy. It totally sold me!)
Oh... and just some tweeking that I did on stuff we already had:

Bring on Christmas baby! I'm ready for ya!

I was so sorry to read the bad news, we have been through it before too. And it is always hard, especially at this time of year, but it sounds like your faith is getting you through!
Your decorations look so good, but I especially love how you put the snowman pics in the frames, that is a great touch!
Hang in there! :)
Love the plate w/the puppy - where was that from again? The pictures of the snowman look even better in the frames!! I might need you to "help" my pictures before I blow them up :)
We are praying for you guys!!

I just found your blog through Today's Creative Blog. I love how you decorated that chair - and I really love how you arranged the cut branches from the tree. I'll have to remember that for next year!
Oh my goodness, how did you bling up those ornaments? I love those!!
