Wow... today was like a breath of fresh air!
It wasn't warm.
(But it was sunny.)
Nathan had today off from school.
We needed that!
We slept in.
Met friends for lunch at BK - where there is a play area.
Then we headed to the park where the boys mostly played on the "climbing tree."
(I froze my tush off but managed to browse at scrap magazines while they played.)
((Who cares if you're freezing tush falls off if you've got a scrap magazine in hand.))
(((In fact, I'd LOVE it if my tush fell off anyway.)))
OK... back to TODAY:
Dropped the kids off.
Made supper.
Then Nathan and I played games for a couple of hours at least!
What games you ask?
Monopoly Jr. (He whooped me!)
And, Yahtzee Jr. (He whooped me there too!)
Then Nathan sat in my lap and read ME stories.
I guess fall (winter) can be enjoyed after all.
(In fact, last year, winter WAS my favorite season.)
((However, this year... summer is going to be hard to beat.))
BUT there is just something about cold weather and dark evenings that can really bring families closer together.
Oh... and one more thing... he has tomorrow off too. No routines, plans, early mornings, or school. Just him and I.
I can't wait!
