I Survived Sleeping in a Tent!

We decided, very last minute, to go camping on Saturday afternoon. It was either that or paint the new bathroom. (Easy decision.)

We drove to Spearfish aka God's Country aka A slice of heaven! Oh and to just describe how beautiful it is there -- my sister couldn't decide where to get married: Spearfish or Hawaii. She chose Hawaii but it was a TOUGH decision! That's how beautiful it is at this park!

Anywho... it was SO MUCH FUN! I think I could have stayed there FOREVER... even in the tent... and the not-so-nice bathrooms!

We played baseball.

I read by the campfire (Yada Yada #6) with my legs kicked up -- tears streaming down my face as I read the last page!

Nathan rode his bike EVERYWHERE. He was the KING of the Campground!

He also met a little buddy - nicest kiddo ever! Anyway... they had fun trying to catch fish in the BEAUTIFUL stream that ran through the campground.

The weather was perfect. Not a cloud in the sky. Probably around 70 degrees. No wind. No bugs. PERFECT!

We took walks to the playground that borders the fish hatchery. On the way, this squirrel was teasing the hunting dog. No not Sam, Toby. He loves to "point" and chase squirrels! And every single time, they win and laugh at him from the branches above!

Look what was growing on a tree near us! Yuck! It's no wonder I don't like mushrooms!

I got to go get "supplies" for smore's at the Walmart there. Nicest darn Walmart I've ever been too! I really enjoyed myself! (Shopping is a part of camping in this household!) Check out this dog collar I found! TOO CUTE!

We toasted marshmallows, made smore's, Scott cooked us fabulous meals (while I read #6). I felt like a queen, feet up, reading, being served good food! Now WHY can't that happen at home? It's no wonder I like camping!

After the peanut fell asleep from pure exhaustion, we broke out the cribbage board. Oh man... I think I just cured my UNO addiction... 'cuz now I'm totally addicted to cribbage. Again.

Ahhhh... I feel refreshed. And so do the pups.

However, not refreshed enough to paint the bathroom!
