A Good DAD Day

The very first words, out of Nathan's mouth this morning were, "Mom, can I give it to him now?" He was that excited to give Scott his Father's Day card. First of all... he picked it out all by himself. (And how appropriate -- us being the crazy dog family.) Anyway, he took a LOT of time and pride writing in this card. (I just can't get enough of his writing and spelling!) He has asked every day since Tuesday if he could give his daddy the card yet. Isn't that precious?!
Now to decipher what he wrote:

The front of the envelope says "Daddy!"

The left side of the card reads, "From Nathan." Dear dad! I love you daddy! I like you daddy! Dad, you're the best!"

On the right side it reads, "You're the best in the world!"

And he even colored in the O's on the X's and O's part of the card on the right.

Is he cute or what?!

Ok... onto our day:

It was fun. We were out of the house by 8 bells this morning! AND I was even showered and ready - WOW!

Anyway, after seeing the amazing movie, The Bucket List. Scott decided that he wanted to show us a majestic view of the Badlands. (Watch the movie and find your majestic place!)

I would love to show you this AMAZING view but I forgot my camera! Of all times to forget! But wait... I didn't forget. It was in Scott's car the entire time I was pouting about not having it. Nathan found it, sitting right next to me, on our way home AFTER we saw the view WITHOUT my camera. (Wow... that was a proud moment witnessed by my Mother-In-Law, Scott, and Nathan!)

Then we went to brunch at our favorite "old people's" restaurant... and then home for a nap. Mmmmmm... it was GOOD with the fresh air blowing in while we slept. I love these kind of days!

Anyway... I woke up about 1 1/2 hours before the boys. Sheesh... they must have really needed sleep! Any who, I did yard work and stained our front entryway, our garage steps, and painted our foundation! WHOA! It felt GOOD to get it done! Yeah for me! And the boys... well after they FINALLY woke up, they played a little ball, ate supper, and cuddled in to watch the BB game.

It was nice and relaxing - even while I worked.

Oh... and Daddy-o! You're the BESTEST darn DAD EVER! I love ya SO much! Wish we could've spent the day with you too! However, I'm VERY happy to know that you and mom were cuddled in enjoying my Father's Day request: to watch The Bucket List! Luv ya lots and lots! XOXOXOXOXOXO!!!!!
