Here's the recap:
Thursday:
Packed the small SUV fuller than the Griswold's but not because of stuff... because of 3 dogs. It was HORRIBLE! But we made it safe and sound to our hometown/city a little past midnight. And that's what matters.
Friday:
Went to the Endocrinologist who informed me that he thinks I'm starting menopause. I'm 35. I really don't think that is necessary. We're done trying. He told us nothing new. Either Invetro or Clomed at an even higher dose than what I was on to give me the HUGE cyst. Just not too willing to go through that again any time soon. So... don't really want to talk about that part of the day. Let's get to the shopping...
Shopped.
Ate lunch with a friend. Saw my friend's beautiful new house. Shopped. Ate an amazing home-cooked meal with my amazing parents. Played UNO (of course).
Saturday:
Slept in until 10:30 -- even Nathan. WAHOO! Played more UNO. Took Nathan to a really neat science center type thing-y for the afternoon.
Ate another amazing home-cooked meal. Went to "Horton Hears a Who" at the cheap theatre.
Sunday:
Ate brunch with my in-laws and brother-in-law. Saw my brother-in-law's new house, which he is remodeling himself. He did a FANTASTIC job! Visited my Grandpa in his "new apartment." Played UNO. Shopped. Scott mowed my parent's lawn (my daddy-o hurt his knee - BAD!) Then we all (Nathan included) stained their deck (it was fun - seriously!) Ate ANOTHER amazing home-cooked meal. Loaded up the Griswold's to hit a hotel about an hour closer to home so Nathan could swim and Scott could go to his favorite hunting store the next day. Nathan got eaten alive by mosquitoes while I was shopping for swimwear for the unexpected hotel stay. Swimming cured him. Thank GOD! Played more UNO. Tried sleeping with the Griswold's - not so much fun. Jasper and Toby barked ALL night long.
Monday:
Dropped boys off at hunting store. I went to hit the 3 most fabulous decorating stores around... and they were all CLOSED for the Memorial Day holiday. How dare they?! Had to go to the only thing that was open. The dollar store of all places.
Love my parents. Love my in-laws. Love going home. Love my hometown. But -- man is it good to be home.
I think we need a minivan.
Seriously.
