Disneyland

Day 3: Disneyland vs. Disney World:

We loved both. The state of California rocks my world. I LOVE it WAY more than Florida. However, Disney World is larger and has a much bigger WOW factor.

Disneyland has Jedi Training, which was and still is the highlight of Nathan's ENTIRE life. Hey, this is the place where dreams DO come true, right!

Nathan was EXTREMELY lucky to be picked. They picked about 30 kids and there were hundreds there!

DL also had a submarine Nemo ride, which was my favorite by far!

And let's not forget the fireworks -- UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!! We thought Disney World's were the best we had ever seen until Disneyland blew their socks off!

There were MANY more character sightings at DL too. And not the ones where you have to stand in line. They were walking around throughout the day and within minutes you could get a picture taken with them. Although this wasn't of much interest to Nathan... all I could think of was... scrap booking his pictures with Disney characters! So, being the extremely mean mom that I am... I MADE him stand by a few of them. For some reason, they really got me excited this year. I think it was because of the spontaneity of them just "showing up." Or it could be that it was nice to not have to wait in line for something.

All in all... another good day UNTIL Nathan got wet on Splash Mountain. We made the mistake of going in the evening. And when we got done he was one UNHAPPY camper! Talk about crabby... he was the KING! We definitely learned our lesson over that event. Anyway... He was so crabby and so worked up that he fell asleep in his stroller on our way out. That was to our benefit though... we watched the fireworks without him... that we were going to miss because he was SO crabby that we were leaving the park!
