The THRILL of the Hunt!

This weekend was the annual indoor rummage at our Civic Center. Last year was the first year I attended, but as a SELLER. This year...since I've practically donated everything we own for lack of "future rummage" storage space in this house, I was a SHOPPER. My cousin had a booth so we set up last night...and then got down to REAL business afterwards (AKA the good stuff):

Shopping.

Searching.

Hunting.

We found such good deals and had a total BLAST on the hunt!

Here are my goodies:

These pretties were 25 cents each. I bought all 7 -- really only wanting 6 but knowing that I will break one at some point....hopefully not into the spaghetti sauce, meat, AND noodles as I did the other night. I've been eyeing these at antique stores and they were obviously never even close to this cheap.

I must be in the baby mood...because I just couldn't resist these SWEET items. I will do something with them - I swear! They are just so vintage-y precious! Dish, $1. Bib, $1. Book (1926), $2

Just look at this vintage matching game/puzzle thing.....I LOVE the illustrations! All the pieces are even there (the picture doesn't show all of the pieces - just a small amount that I picked out to show you!)! AND, it was $1! I might have to frame some of these in our toy room/nook area.

This thing-y will hold something in scrap land.Had to have it for $2. Can't you just see it embellished with ribbon holding some vintage buttons?!

This may house some jewelry in my closet. It's heavy with cast iron handles. It needs to be painted or maybe just cleaned in the inside...but for 75 cents, I can handle that!....oooh, maybe some scrap booking paper lined inside - that would be cute!

Salt and pepper shakers - $1. Again...some cute ribbon tied around them for a special occasion...like Valentine's Day - oh yeah...have to do that!

Today...the little peanut came with to help entertain his OLDER 2nd cousins and I found myself taking them around so they could enjoy the thrill of the hunt as well. I'm POSITIVE their purchases will end up on next years rummage but it was about so much more than that! They felt the same way we did last night!

We're all looking forward to next year's rummage already!
