Today it hit 50 degrees! Wahoo! And what better way to celebrate than by having a picnic in the park with family.
My cousin's girls stayed over last night. (Nathan adores them!) Today we decided to take advantage of the nice weather and take the kids and 2 of the 3 stooges to the park. (Sam is with Scott this weekend - ice fishing.)
Anyway, Nathan found a great tree to climb. The girls weren't impressed (they wanted to keep taking the pups on a walk) until he would not get down. At that point they must have realized that they were missing out on something kind of fun...maybe being a boy isn't so bad! The other 2 joined him and had quite a good time sitting in the sunshine, watching a squirrel and some ducks, all while sitting in a tree. If I weren't holding onto the pups, I would have joined them. (Wow, until I just got the visual of me trying to get up the tree!)
Anyway, it's time for winter to say good-bye until next year. I'll miss it but I'm ready for spring.
