Christmas Program Extraordinaire!

Well, I didn't get the first row - but only because I wanted to sit next to a friend who needed an entire row ... but we DID get good seats in about the 6th row. It was festive. It was heart warming. It was very cute. It was LONG! My butt hurt so bad after sitting in a folding chair for 3 hours! Would I do it again? You betcha!!!! (Nathan is on the very left - top row - with the blue sweater and khaki pants.)

I was a little worried about Nathan. He doesn't like to perform in front of people. At Sunday school, he completely freaked out and sat on my lap the entire program (last year). He complained of a tummy ache yesterday morning - and I think it was nerves (definitely gets this from his mom!). BUT he came out on stage with smiles and lots of waving and sang his little heart out! It was AWESOME! I even had him sing them to me again last night before bed. There is just NOTHING like a child of 5 singing a Christmas favorite to his mommy! :o)

So, I definitely need to read my manual and practice taking pictures in his school - I just don't get it. So here they are - and they look awful! But at least my batteries didn't die - and we videotaped it as well! Nothing like preserving those memories!!!!

I found Nathan like this after school - must have wore him out because this NEVER happens!!!!

Today, Nathan was invited to have a Christmas Tea with a good friend of ours - Mara. I'm excited about taking pics of that too! Should really crack out the manual before I go - but that would definitely be too smart and way too prepared!

I know what you mean about learning how to use your camera. I got a new one a few months ago and am afraid to take it off of auto.

Eventually we will get there!

Looks like a great show!
