UGH!

Here I sit...with 3 dogs (we're puppy sitting 1 of the 3) and NO family. I always THINK I crave this time...but it really irks me for some reason. The reasons could possibly be that:
* I would never want it this way permanently and until they're home safe again, I can't allow myself to enjoy it.
* I can't access ANY of my scrap stuff since my DH threw, and I mean threw, all of our basement stuff in that storage closet so the tape and texturing could begin. Did he have to completely block the entrance with NO rhyme or reason?Remember when my scrap stuff looked like this? Ahhh, it's a distant, fading memory!
* I can't ever decide what thing to focus my time on since there are a BILLION and ONE things on my list.
* I refuse to clean - this is MY time.
* My darn computer's USB ports aren't working so I can't even post absolutely adorable pictures of my son on my blog.
* I went shopping/running errands. Some of my errands consisted of getting stuff to complete projects on my list...and the rest of the supplies are scrap stuff that, have I mentioned, I CAN'T access?! Oh, and I found the CUTEST picture for some unknown place in our home that I would love to show you but I CAN'T because my USB ports are NOT working!
* It's too flippin' hot to take all 3 dogs on a walk or to the puppy park (However, it would definitely be worth anyone's time to secretly watch me try to walk 3 pups!).
* The fabric (I think I'll use for our bedroom) goes cheaper on Monday so I can't pick it up until then to start sewing my life away....

So, here I sit catchin' up on e-mails and trying to find any and all new entries on my list of favorite blogs. Don't these people know that I check my computer twice a day and that they should update at least 3 times a day!?! HA! You know, since I do...

Week In Review:

~ Y training - not impressed!
~ Reptile Gardens...would love to post some cute pics but CAN'T! It was super fun and I'm so glad we finally made it out there this year!
~ Nathan had his "meet the teacher" evening at school and it went so well! He has at least 3 kiddos in there that he already knows. He is so excited for recess! I didn't cry - I think that seeing the room the Friday prior helped me gain total control on Wednesday evening.
~ Tape and texture has started...yeah! It should be done this weekend! WAHOO!

Ok, I better shower so I can decide how to entertain my lonesome self! Maybe I should TRY and dig through the rubble to get to my scrap stuff. It would be better to do it before I shower since I'm sure I'll be full of dust and sweat! If you don't hear from me again, please come look for me under all of the boxes in our storage area of the basement.

Maybe I should take my computer in to get the USB ports looked at...but that makes me very crabby just thinking about it! So, that's a NO...

I could go check out my favorite antique/junk stores...but I KNOW that I would be returning home with more treasures that I couldn’t possibly fit into this house right now. Wow, am I finally in control? Well, for today anyway!

Hope you all have a good 3-day weekend....mine will return to normal tonight when my boys get home and I can sigh a big sigh of relief that they're safe and sound and then it will be much easier to start some projects around here! :o)
