Kindergarten!

Wow, it's over with! This much-anticipated day is over...and we all survived. Ok, I survived, with tears, but survived. Nathan went to his first day of school TODAY! I've been dreading this day for a very long time! It was a mixture of emotions and extremely hard to let go of my baby! Nathan on the other hand didn't seem scared at all, was excited for it to start, and had absolutely NO problems saying good-bye to his mom and dad! I honestly think he is very sick and tired of me telling him that he should not be this big already! He insists that he is and that someday he is going to move out! Does he really have to bring that up, he's only 5!

The boys had a marvelous time this weekend camping and I actually started to enjoy myself Saturday afternoon as I went shopping, got Applebee’s to-go, and then started on some fun projects. I ended up going to an antique store (no self control) but didn't buy anything except a Country Living magazine for $1.

Sunday night we cancelled our own camping adventure since the boys were WAY tuckered out (they ended up staying there through Sunday afternoon). We watched High School Musical (had to see what all the hype was about). It was really cute and we all enjoyed it. We're looking forward to seeing the 2nd one...

On Monday, we slept in and then headed to Storybook Island for the rest of the day. We played catch and football outside SBI and then went into the park for our last adventure there for the summer. They are officially closed for the year with the exception of their Christmas light show (which we've made an annual tradition).

Today also marked our first meeting for MOPS (busy day!). It went really well and it was so nice to be back together with the entire group of remarkable women that attend. Our leaders did great and were totally nervous for nothing! Good job gals! :o)

Our basement is done with the tape and texturing. Yeah! Now, we need to paint and pick out the floor covering so the trim guy can come next week. I can't wait! Then we can move on to phase 2! Oh joy!

Oh, this was from tonight when I about had a heart attack but then changed my mind and ran to get the camera! Don't worry...everyone is ok!
