Anyway, here they are:
By the way, Nathan still lets me rock him on occasion...like tonight. I think it's a stalling technique but it works every time because I'm so afraid it might be the last. I love that rocking chair...it's my most favorite chair in the house. I remember when Nathan was a baby and Bailey (our pup that's now up in Heaven) would snuggle in right next to us as I rocked and rocked. Where does the time go? Can I just have some of it back?!
DENIAL
Today we found out that my BABY starts school on September 4th! Then he will have 2 days off and then starts on a regular basis that Friday. His teacher is Mrs. Oleson. We went school supply shopping tonight, which only consisted of a binder and an eraser. That's so nice on the budget but not as much fun! I don't want this part of my life to be over yet. Anne, what are we going to do?!!!! Neither of us can accept the fact that our children are old enough for this! I'm trying to block it out as much as possible but it's starting to seep in!
MOPS
We had our Mops kick-off today and then a steering team meeting. I think we're almost ready for our first meeting, which will be a nice morning distraction on Nathan's first day of school. We will meet one more time on Saturday evening for a final budget session. We're going to eat at the Olive Garden - my idea! My mouth is already watering for their all-you-can-eat soup, salad, and breadsticks! Mmmmmm.... (Yet another sign that I'm getting older - I'm starting to get excited for food!)
BABY NEWS
My friend Amy had her baby on Sunday...Anders. He is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO adorable! And she looked like a million bucks on Monday night. I was there all by myself and took full advantage of holding him the entire time while we had such a nice chat! It was so fun and he is so little and cute! Congrats Chad & Amy...you have a BEAUTIFUL family! And, THANKS for waiting for us to get back into town!!!!! By the way, could Nathan have been that little? YES, he was even smaller and it's soooo hard to remember! Where does the time go????? That brings me right back to: Could he possibly be old enough for kindergarten???????!!!!!!!!!!
