AHHHHhhhhhh!!!!!!!

This feels so good! We're just relaxin' in the hotel this morning. We slept until 9:00am and then the boys went down to breakfast while I fell back asleep. They woke me up with some AWESOME flavored coffee that Scott mixed for free, a bagel with peanut butter, and some OJ. Now, Scott and I are both dinkin' around on our computers while Nathan is cuddled in watching some goofy old show on the tube. It feels so good to have NO plans!

Scott met our renters yesterday while I did some much-needed returns. We met in town, dropped the pups off (so sad to leave them behind - but nice to travel without them), and then took a creative way to Scottsbluff. We stopped and walked around in Keystone so Scott could get a tiny piece of the rally (it's filled with bikers and t-shirt stands just like Sturgis), then we drove through Custer State Park, and decided to stop in Hot Springs at the Dew Drop Inn. They truly have the BEST food and ice cream. (We will definitely be making a point to hit that on the way home and then for a summer treat before summer is over.)

My dear husband drove the entire way (I needed that so very much and am so grateful he allowed me the relaxing pleasure). I indulged in sewing on some amazingly cute colored flour sack towels that I purchased the last time I was in Denver. It was SO much fun and a much-needed creative outlet for me! I don't think I will ever forget how good it felt!

We got to the hotel, quickly got our swimsuits on as we hit the door, and jumped right in the hotel pool. There were some kiddo's in there and we had a really nice time playing with all of them. I cut out a little early and came back into the room to order a pizza, watch baseball (wanted to see Berry Bonds hit another homer), and to look at a really good magazine that I splurged on: Better Homes and Gardens - Storage for Kids Stuff. It's really worth the money! I love it...it has such cute ideas in there that are good for any where in the house and some really cute decorating ideas! I love good magazines!

Today, we still haven't made a plan but I'm thinking that we will head to the pool since it's suppose to be 95 degrees. Scottsbluff is a surprisingly fun little town. (Celeste, I think of you every time we are here - I always think of how much you miss this "home.") It has some really cute shops, an awesome public pool, a great park, and an awesome little amusement park filled with go carts, goofy golf, and an arcade that keeps us entertained for quite awhile. It also has a Home Depot, which is an unexpected surprise that we will definitely go to - since we don't have one in Rapid and we're still working on the endless jobs of our new home.

Thank you God for vacations! I needed this more than I ever even knew!
