Not-So-Hot

Wow, these past 2 days have been such a nice breath of fresh air! Literally! It has dropped about 30 degrees and it makes the summer so much more enjoyable! The sun hasn't even been out...and although we need the rain, it was such a nice treat! Yesterday Nathan and I rode the bike trails, played at a couple different parks, and had ice cream at McDonalds. It was more than refreshing!!!!

Today we hit Dinosaur Park for lunch and fun. After that we ran some errands to hunt for a new pair of crocs for Nathan. We found some but they are a little big - everyone is out of them right now. I tried talking him into waiting until school started or when we go to Denver but he wouldn't wait! I don't know who he gets that from! :o)

I love it when life slows down so you can watch your child and totally enjoy it (especially when you're not on a time schedule)! That's what these past two days have been like and for that I'm so very thankful!

PICS
It's driving me nuts not posting pictures with my last couple of entries but I've officially grounded myself until I get all my digi prints developed...I think I have at least 1000 to develop - OUCH! Anyway, I'm pre-purchasing my prints from Snapfish so they will only be 10 cents each - but that means I have to upload them and my priority right now is PAINTING! The main level HAS to be done this weekend! I would also like to get the downstairs landing done too but Scott is also trying to get stuff done on the basement, which makes me head-caretaker of Nathan. Isn't this house done yet?!!!!!

SUPPER
Tonight we grilled ranch burgers and corn on the cob. Nathan has been craving corn on the cob all week! He LOVES it! He didn't the first couple of times he had it last year but now he totally loves it! He couldn't even wait for it to cool down - he was that excited!

BEE STING
Last night Nathan got his first official bee sting! ...Poor thing cried and cried! It was swollen for just a short time but we put a cold rag on it and it healed right away. The stinger wasn't in him either so I don't know how bad it was...anyway, at least he isn't allergic. Oh, and I'm rethinking the wild flowers in our back yard...we have SO many bees around here it really is very annoying already! The wild flowers need to be "bee proof!"

DIVORCE
No, not me/us...Elsie Flannigan. For all of you scrappers out there, I am in total SHOCK! I have always admired her pages about her hubby because they seemed SO IN LOVE! Wow, what a shocker! That's totally the hot topic among scrappers, I'm sure! I just want to know what went wrong - I seriously can't believe it!!!!

Have a good weekend!!!!
